Last autumn I planted Muscari (grape hyacinth, one of the only true blue, more than purple plants). I wanted something purple or blue popping up. I planted a periwinkle hydrangea in the backyard last summer only to discover that plant is affected by a soil’s pH level … so it’s not blue or pink, but more white. Ah well. My hope is that these Muscari’s will come up looking like this.
On the weekend (after shoveling off the snow a few weeks ago) I noticed some buds popping up through the soil. Yeah! Everywhere else there is still snow, but went I saw my little buds (below), I started shoveling a bit more
