I thought I’d have a bit more fun with the Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, & Certainly Celery colour combo.  Check out Kristina Werner’s Colour Inspiration #20 for details.  Although, I’m sure I’m past the deadline & I’ve already put a submission in!  LOL.

The first time I saw the Pottery Barn Inspiration, I really wanted to use my new cricket Cartridge for the inspiration, but my blade was dull.  So last night, after DH was home & kids were getting ready for bed, I snuck off to pick up a new blade.

While I was at the store, I saw some Martha Stewart Sparkles.  A whole Rainbow, but I only picked up the black & white sets of glitter (trying to exercise some restrain).  That woman can package stuff.  I think Martha is thinking “now how can I get Amy to buy this?” when her marketing & advertising people go to work.

Paper:  Chocolate Chip CS, Certainly Celery Textured CS, Pink Pirouette INK, Regal Rose Marker, Cricket Home Accents cartridge, Ribbon, Dimensionals, Martha Stewart Sparkles & Glue.

Here’s another Colour Inspiration from Kristina Werner. I must say, I was hoping she’d pick one of the new colours, because I JUST got my package yesterday. 🙂 YEAH Pink Pirouette!

The Inspiration was from Pottery Barn for kids, thanks Kelly for suggesting it, great pick. What fun chairs for children or grown ups.

I really wanted to use the Cricket for this challenge too, (check out this new cartridge: Home Accents) but the blade is dull, & I can’t get a new one right now. Ah well. Many other new toys to play with.

Here’s what I came up with:

I made the Certain Celery ‘Brackets’ using the new Curly Label Punch, by punching and then moving it slightly over like I did here, when I used the tag punch. The bottom ‘lace’ was using the Wrought Iron Punch with the bottom clip removed.

The Embossing on the tag was done by stamping in Versamark first and then Pink Pirouette & then Embossing with Clear Powder.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else does. Just too many wonderful ideas.

Paper: Pink Pirouette CS, Regal Rose Textured CS, Chocolate Chip CS, Certainly Celery Textured CS, Martha Stewart Ribbon, INK: VersaMark, Pink Pirouette, Stazon Brown, Stamps: SU Lots of Thoughts, SU Cute and Curly, Anna Griffin Filligree Stamp, Stampin up Punches: Wrought Iron (SU Retired), Curly Label, Coluzzle Oval, & dimensionals.

Yeah! Kristina’s Blog is up & running (yes, I checked it daily, so did you!) and she has her Colour Inspiration posted.

Okay, I had a bit of a hard time seeing the image of the bedroom from the Orange Beautiful Blog, but I hope I got the general idea. So here’s the bedroom:

The Colours we could use were:

and one of our choice, used in small amounts.

I went with:

And here’s my card:

With these see Acetate Cards, just remember, it’s a card & needs to be able to be written on inside. Try pasting on some white CS to match the outside graphics.

Used Stazon Jet Black Ink to define the edges. Also used cuttlebug dies, just love those things. Rhinestone stickers, Ribbon.

Night all! The kids have (one hockey & other art) camp in the morning & I promised Cinnamon Buns for breakie as a treat to get them up early. I will solely rely on copious amounts of coffee to keep up with Liam. Perhaps he can watch a bit of Wonder Pets tomorrow.

EDIT:  Here is the link for the Cuttlebug Embossing Die Folder called:  Combo With Gratitude

Here’s a quick sketch challenge from Kristina Werner: Hope your back is feeling better soon, Kristina.

Here’s the card I made & tried to use colours that I normally wouldn’t use. She did mention that we could use the sketch challenge as a “general idea” and it need not be a literal interpretation. (phew)

PP: Anna Griffin, Mellow Moss Ink, Purely Pumpkin Ink, Purple Stazon Ink, Flowers, Rhinestone brad, paper Crimper, Chocolate Coins!

Okay, this is the first time I tried two cards for Kristina’s Colour Inspiration. These bright colours were way out of my comfort zone. Honestly, it was just too hard for me, not sure why, each colour was so bold & I couldn’t make it come together. Maybe if I had only used minimal amounts, of each bold colour. I can’t wait to see how everyone else pulled it off. I’ve never missed one of Kristina’s Colour Inspirations, so I wanted to give it a go & see what I could come up with. They are too much fun to pass, as hundreds of other know.

I thought it might be fun to knit a little blanket, to mirror the afgan in the Photo, but if you could see me, you would have laughed. The only “wool” I could find (in my arsenal in the craft room) in Pumpkin Pie was Cross Stitch Thread, so I used that, but it was taking so long, & I felt like a GIANT with wee thread & the smallest knitting needles I owned:

Anyways, here’s the result from that silly endeavor. For anyone who ever wanted to know, you can’t easily cable with Cross Stitch Thread, so I just did regular k/p:

And after looking at it, it was just too much Green Galore for my liking so I took it down a bit & came up with this, my second attempt at these colours:

Kristina’s Colour Inspiration #18 was taken from this photo of CB2

Here’s the bedding photo:

The colours we were to use were:

and either one of these colours

or . TOUGH, BABY!

I did the best I could, but it just wasn’t coming together for me.

I used Green Galore CS, Pumpkin Pie CS, Rose Red Textured CS, Rose Red PP, Petite Scallop Circles Nestabilites, Black Embossing Powder, Versamark, dimensionals, Stamps: Seeing Spots, Toile Blossoms, Favourite Greetings & some ribbon.

Kristina Weekly Colour Inspiration is here, number 17!  This week her colour inspiration comes from this beautiful dress.  I love it!

The Colours that were pulled were:

And here’s the card.  I actually started off with something completely different, as I had a bunch of “flower buttons” that matched & was thinking of working off of the ‘pleats’ idea with the buttons, but I had the focus of a butterfly & ended up with something completely different, looking more like a bureau drawer:

The PP is from Anna Griffin, NRN Designs: RoseBuds & Blooms, NRG Designs: Orchids, Martha Stewart: Heirloom, S.U. CS: Rose Red, Regal Rose, & Sage Shadow.

Here’s a fun Colour Inspiration, courtesy of Kristina Werner.

The image she used is from Martha Stewart & her take on Baby Slippers.

The Colours that were pulled were:

I LOVE BABIES and BABY STUFF.  They always make me smile and with that in mind, here’s my card:

I cut the Pumpkin Pie CS (with Dazzlin’ Diamonds Glitter) out in my new toy:  The Cricket, using the “mini mongrams” cartridge.  It’s a fun toy, I must admit, but it is nice to work more with your hands, for me.  My DH looked over at me & said, “did you buy a lathe for paper?  That even exists?!?”  LOL

The “you make me” was also part of that mini mongrams set.

The PP is from …. du du na naaaaah:  Martha Stewart.  I think I have supported a few of her manicures over the years, with the stuff I’ve purchased with her name attached.  She has nice stuff, what can I say.

Paper:  Certainly Celery Textured CS, Pumpkin Pie CS, &  Martha Stewart Classic Botanical paper pad.

Check out Kristina’s Round Up next week … too much fun!
